Although I believe the Kineon MOVE+ Pro is one-of-a-kind, there are some alternatives that also make use of red light therapy to reduce pain and inflammation.

1. Recharge Health FlexBeam

The FlexBeam is the closest alternative to the MOVE+ Pro because of its design and adjustable straps. It can be curved around smaller treatment areas or straightened to be used on larger areas like the back. As mentioned in this FlexBeam review, it makes use of only red and infrared LEDs, not lasers, to treat various painful conditions.

While it can be used on the joints, the FlexBeam is a bit more awkward to use compared to the MOVE+ Pro. That said, if you’re looking for a multi-use device (i.e. treating joint pain AND lower back pain), the FlexBeam is what I’d recommend.

The TENDLITE Pro works on a similar principle to the MOVE+ Pro – using red and near-infrared wavelengths – however, this is not a wearable device. This LED handheld device is best suited for treating targeted areas (like the joints), but the design makes it limited to use cases beyond that.

It’s also much more affordable than the MOVE+ Pro.

3. LYMA Laser

If you’re looking for the absolute best-of-the-best, the LYMA Laser is probably your best option. It’s the only FDA-cleared clinic-grade laser for home use.

The LYMA Laser uses Class I lasers (180 mW/cm² power, 808 nm wavelength) to penetrate deep into the skin and muscle to provide a number of benefits. It’s also unique in that there are two patented internal diffusers that “fragment” the near-infrared light into 25,000 smaller beams. This ensures complete coverage to your skin.

That said, it carries a hefty price tag. It’s definitely not for everyone, but those that have tried it report significant benefits.

4. MitoQUAD Wavelength Belt

The MitoQUAD Wavelength Belt is more affordable than the Kineon MOVE+ Pro; however, it does have slightly different applications. This device also uses red (630 nm, 660 nm) and infrared (810 nm, 850 nm) wavelengths to help treat injuries. The main difference is that the MitoQUAD makes use of only LED diodes and is mainly used for larger muscle groups (e.g. treating back pain) due to its size.

How Do I Set Up The Straps?

Here’s a step-by-step guide to setting up the elastic straps:

  1. Wrap the Medium Strap: First, take the medium-sized strap and wrap it around the part that holds your modules (let’s call this the “module holder”) and also around the part of the strap that sticks out (we’ll call this the “male clasp”).
  2. Secure with Velcro: Stick the rough side of the velcro (the “teeth”) onto the fabric part of the strap. Press down hard to make sure it sticks well. This secures the first part of your setup.
  3. Loop the Long Strap: Now, thread the long strap through the module holder from the bottom. Make a loop with the end of this strap and thread it through the next module holder to keep it in place.
  4. Attach the Small Strap: Take the small strap and wrap it around the final holder and another part called the “female clasp.” Like before, press down on the velcro to lock it in place.
  5. Join the Clasps: Connect the male and female clasps together to create a complete loop. Now, your setup is ready, and you can start adding modules to it!
