CurrentBody Skin LED Mask – Best Overall
I wasn’t really looking for a new LED mask when I came across this one. I was watching one of my current Netflix obsessions (Emily in Paris) when suddenly I saw it on the screen – the CurrentBody Skin LED Mask. Since I struggle with fine lines and wrinkles, I knew I had to try it.
One of the first features that stood out to me was its power. With an average irradiance of 30 Mw/cm2, the CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Mask claims to have 27% more power than any competing products.
The LED face mask is also made with patented flexible medical-grade silicone. This material contours to your face, ensuring a comfortable yet snug fit.
(Speaking from personal experience, it’s much more comfortable than a plastic LED face mask!)
The mask itself has 132 LED lights and uses wavelengths of red (633nm) and near-infrared (830nm) light to stimulate your skin cells from the inside out. These red light waves are going to be your skin’s best friend, as they have been proven to boost collagen production and create a more even skin tone .
Plus, CurrentBody’s Pillow Technology™ is said to help the red light therapy penetrate every area of your face for an effective full-coverage treatment.
The CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Mask is also easy to incorporate into your skincare routine.
As Dr. Glyn Estebanez, a UK-based aesthetic surgeon, has said, “it’s easy to slip into your everyday routine. You can use the mask for just 10 minutes 3 to 5 times a week.”
Personally, I like to wear it as part of my evening routine. My morning’s can be hectic, and I know I’ll hit the snooze button for another 10 minutes of sleep vs. waking up on time to wear a red light face mask (even if it has amazing benefits!).

Solawave Light Therapy Mask – Best For Wrinkles & Acne
The Solawave Light Therapy Mask is one of my favorite go-to’s when my skin is acting up. This hands-free LED light therapy treatment claims to give you radiant, rejuvenated, and bouncier skin (in just ten minutes), and I must admit that the results I got were surprising.
Not only did it help to soothe my acne, but it also smoothed out my skin texture after a handful of sessions. Its portability was great, too. I just popped the mask on and carried on with my to-do list for the day.
(Note: I recommend using this mask during the day. It uses blue light therapy, and you want to avoid excessive exposure to blue light before bed).
Unlike other LED face masks that only use one technology, this full-face LED mask uses both blue light and red light therapy.
Red light therapy is a powerful tool against aging skin since it increases the production of collagen deep within your skin. This can potentially help to improve your skin elasticity and firmness, which is what you want for healthier-looking skin.
The blue light in this LED face mask is all about addressing those pesky skin concerns. In fact, it is designed to kill acne-causing bacteria, which can help to soothe and reduce blemishes . It may also help to clear up inflammatory acne, whiteheads, and blackheads for more radiant skin.
Bestqool LED Mask – Best Budget Option
Although high-quality skincare and expensive treatments have become synonymous over the years, I’ve never believed the lie that beauty has to break the bank. I was recently proven right when I used the Bestqool LED Mask. This LED mask uses some of the latest LED technology and can offer you a range of benefits that may address your skin concerns.
One of the key features of this mask is that it uses not one, not two, but three different light therapy techniques. These techniques have been proven to help improve your skin texture and bring back your youthful glow.
Firstly, it uses a blue light to combat acne and other bacteria on your skin. It also uses near-infrared light to improve your blood circulation for brighter skin.
What I love most is the use of red light technology to help fight the signs of aging and reduce wrinkles and fine lines . If you’re part of the over-30s club like me, this is the feature you’re looking for in a good LED mask.
As if that weren’t enough, this LED mask is designed to be ultra-versatile and gives you the most out of every session. It has multiple treatment modes so that you can customize your treatment, and a digital remote control that is easy to operate for a hassle-free experience. The mask also comes with a neck cover, so no area is left untreated.
The only downside (and probably why it’s so much more affordable) is that it’s built out of plastic, rather than the flexible silicone most other masks use. It’s not as comfortable, and it might not be for you if you have a larger head.

Other Options We Tested
Here are some of the other options we’ve tested:
DRx SpectraLite FaceWare Pro LED Mask
I am absolutely thrilled with the DRx SpectraLite LED Mask from Dr. Dennis Gross! When I use it, it’s like I’m bringing the dermatologist’s office straight to the comfort of my home (or, more accurately, my couch). This FDA-cleared light therapy face mask is designed to address a range of skin issues.
What I love about this LED mask is that it has a combination of 100 different LED lights in red mode and 60 LED lights in blue mode. Together, they work to help my skin by boosting collagen production, smoothing out my skin texture, fighting acne, and improving my skin density. It’s like having multiple treatments without having to use multiple LED masks.
I also like the convenience of having a ‘three-in-one’ device with several light settings. I can use the red light for anti-aging, prevent blemishes with the blue light, or combine the two for a more powerful treatment.
It’s also completely hands-free, which gives me the freedom to use it without the hassle of having my hands busy. Instead, I’m free to work or relax all while treating my skin to its own little spa day. It even has an automatic shut-off feature, which turns the LED mask off after three minutes.
A slight con is that, compared to other masks, there’s less coverage around the eye area – so buyer beware if you’re looking to get rid of those pesky under-eye wrinkles.
(This smaller coverage area might be because they sell another LED device that targets the eye area. But, who knows?)
Another con, after testing it, is that the mask is built out of hard plastic. In other words, it’s designed to fit a “standard” person and may be uncomfortable if you have a “non-standard” head. For me, it was highly uncomfortable around the cheek area – which is why I always recommend masks built out of flexible silicone!
The DRx SpectraLite LED Mask is also a pricier option, so it might not be for everyone.
Omnilux Contour Face Mask
I’ve found that the Omnilux Contour Face Mask is a fantastic solution for reducing fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation, and redness. It helps me to achieve smooth, younger-looking skin, and it may be able to do the same for you.
This device uses 132 medical-grade LEDs that combine wavelengths of red and near-infrared light for skin healing. After a few weeks of testing out this LED mask, I was surprised at just how good my skin looked!
I love that this LED light mask is non-invasive and all-natural. That means that there is no pain, side effects, or downtime. It’s a convenient and safe option for helping me achieve the skin of my dreams. The best part for me is that each session only takes around ten minutes. And, by keeping up with three to five treatments a week for four to six weeks, I’ve seen a measurable difference in my skin.
Another benefit that I’ve noticed is how this LED device smoothes out my skin texture and tone, leaving me with an effortless glow. Red light LED face masks can also help with hyperpigmentation . So, if you struggle with dark spots and patches of skin on your face, you’re going to want to try this LED mask.
Qure Light Therapy Mask
Another one of the best LED face masks I’ve tested out is the Qure Light Therapy Mask. What I think sets this device apart from others is its combination of five different light therapy wavelengths that all work on different parts of your skin.
First, there’s the near-infrared light that penetrates your skin. This has been proven to boost circulation within your skin and protect your existing collagen. The more collagen you have, the more you’ll notice a youthful, healthy glow. The deep red light helps to accelerate the skin healing process and prevent scarring from unsightly blemishes, while the standard red light is perfect for firming and plumping your skin.
Additionally, this LED mask uses blue light technology that enhances its antibacterial effects to prevent and soothe acne for smoother skin. But what really sets the Qure Light apart from many standard light therapy masks is the amber light (also known as yellow light). This amber light can potentially reduce the appearance of dark spots by calming inflammation and smoothing out your skin texture .
When you combine all of these color wavelengths into one product, you get a mask that should help you to fight most skin issues. No matter what your concerns are, you may want to try this one out for yourself.
That said, more research is needed before we can conclusively say yellow light works for skin issues.
Déesse PRO LED Light Therapy Mask
The Déesse PRO LED Light Therapy Mask has exceeded all of my personal skincare expectations. This is one of the most advanced LED light therapy masks I’ve had the pleasure of testing, and I can’t get enough of all the benefits I’m seeing.
Although this mask is really lightweight, it packs six advanced treatments into one device. I don’t know about you, but any mask that can make my life easier and my treatments quicker is a total game-changer. The device actually combines four different wavelengths with six treatment modes, making it a potentially fantastic investment for anyone who wants to transform their skin.
The Déesse PRO harnesses the power of 770 high-quality surface-mounted LED lights for its treatments. In addition to red light, blue light, and near-infrared light therapy, this handy device uses a unique green light technique, which is said to give your complexion a boost.
Early research has shown that green light therapy may help heal your skin from within . With this in mind, there’s no harm in trying this mask out for yourself. You may see a difference after just a few sessions.
That said, this is one of the most premium options on the market, with a price tag far exceeding that of the other LED light therapy masks.
(Sticker shock, right?)
What To Look For In A LED Light Therapy Mask
Here’s what to look for when shopping for LED masks:
Wavelengths are a really important consideration when choosing LED face masks because each wavelength of light offers specific benefits for your skin. When you’re picking out your mask, you’ll want to choose one with the right wavelengths. You can pick one with multiple wavelengths so that you can change your treatments to address multiple skin concerns at once!
Here are the different wavelengths and what they can do for your skin:
- Near-infrared lights: Near-infrared LED lights penetrate more deeply into the skin and work synergistically with red light to improve skin health.
- Red lights: High quality red light therapy devices will stimulate collagen and elastin production, which can reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
- Blue lights: Blue lights help to kill acne-causing bacteria. This can help to smooth out your skin texture.
- Green lights: Green LED light helps with pigmentation, uneven skin tones, and healing.
- Yellow lights: Yellow or amber light stimulates circulation and reduces inflammation.
Some LED masks have multiple treatment modes with a combination of different wavelengths. These are the masks I would recommend since they usually have good value for money and can help to address a range of skin problems rather than just one.
In fact, research shows that combining different wavelengths can enhance the efficacy of skin LED light therapy.
Having several treatment modes lets you target different skincare concerns quickly and easily – all in one go! For instance, a mode with both red and blue light sequences can target acne and the usual signs of aging.
So, be sure to pick a mask that targets the skin concern you want to address.
The Number & Quality of LED Lights
The number and quality of the LED lights used in your mask can impact how well it performs (and its durability). Masks with a higher number of LED lights give you fuller coverage, which ensures that every area of your skin is covered and treated. You’ll also want to look for medical-grade LED diodes for a safer treatment.
A well-fitting mask is obviously ideal – both for comfort and for covering the entirety of your face. In some cases, you can also find masks that wrap around your neck as well, which means you’ll be reaping the benefits of better skin from the tip of your head to the base of your neck.
Face-shaped LED masks are usually a better pick since they can more easily conform to the contours of your face. Since this minimizes gaps between your skin and the mask, your skin will be able to sweat and breathe for a more comfortable experience.
Different mask designs can make your treatment more convenient, as they can be integrated into your weekly skincare routine without a hassle. For example, wireless models are great for a hands-free experience, so you can go about your day while treating your skin to a refreshing therapy session.
After testing and comparing several different LED face masks, the clear winner out of all of them was the CurrentBody Skin LED Mask. Its amazing performance and innovative features lead to pretty impressive results. That’s exactly why I’ve picked it as the best overall choice for anyone who wants to improve their skin’s health and appearance.
This red light face mask sets itself apart from competitors with 27% more power than other LED face masks on the market, meaning it delivers powerful therapeutic techniques to your skin in just ten minutes.
So, not only are you getting top-notch results, but it’s also easy to slip into your daily skincare routine.
The CurrentBody Skin LED light mask uses medical-grade silicone for a comfortable fit and full-coverage treatment. Its 132 LED lights with red and near-infrared wavelengths stimulate your skin cells to promote collagen production and a more even skin tone.
While other LED face masks, like the Solawave and Bestqool LED masks, offer specific benefits like targeting wrinkles and fighting acne or providing a budget-friendly price point, the CurrentBody excels in almost every aspect.
Plus, it’s safe for all skin types, even those with sensitive skin.
Trust me, you won’t regret giving this incredible device a try!
